🚗 Arrival & check-in

• Where exactly is Naturcamping Brettmühlenteich?

  Our campsite lies in the middle of nature on the Brettmühlenteich lake in 01561 Thiendorf, district of Zschorna – quietly in the forest, about 30 minutes north-east of Dresden. You will find the exact location on our site map.

• How do I get to you by bus and train?

  By regional train you can reach us easily via Großenhain or Königsbrück, then continue by bus or taxi towards Thiendorf/Zschorna. If you like it nostalgic: take the Lößnitzgrundbahn (steam narrow-gauge railway) to Radeburg – from there it is about 8 km. For the last leg we offer a shuttle service on request – please ask in advance by e-mail. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us beforehand.

• What are the reception opening hours?

  • - High season 8 AM - 6 PM
  • - Low season 8 AM - 4 PM

• From when can I arrive?

  Our regular check-in times are from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM

• I would like to arrive outside these times. Is that possible?

  An earlier check-in is possible by arrangement and incurs a fee: €20 for pitch, tent site and lodge, or €50 for holiday homes, bungalow and glamping tent. A later arrival (until 10 p.m.) is possible on request at no extra charge. Please let us know in advance by email – if you arrive later, your documents will be ready for you in the safe.

• By when must check-out be completed on the departure day?

  Check-out must be completed by 11:00 AM. A later departure is only possible on request and for a fee (€20 for pitch, tent site and lodge, or €50 for holiday homes, bungalow and glamping tent). Please contact us in advance – we will do our best to fulfill your request.

• I have booked a pitch. Am I allowed to park on the pitch?

  Parking on the pitches is generally not allowed, unless you are staying overnight in your vehicle such as in motorhomes, campers or cars with roof tents. Please use the designated free parking areas for other vehicles.

• Are there quiet hours on site?

  Yes, it is quiet here. Night rest is from 10 pm to 7 am, midday rest from 12 pm to 3 pm. Between 8 pm and 7 am arrivals and departures are generally not possible. So that all guests can enjoy the peace by the lake, music boxes and Bluetooth speakers are not permitted anywhere on the site.

• How much does a night cost?

  You will find our current prices clearly laid out on the price list page – including PDF downloads for camping and holiday homes, each for high and low season.

• How do I know that my booking has been received?

  After booking through our website, you will receive an automatic confirmation by email. This contains all important information about your reservation. If you do not receive confirmation, please check your spam folder or contact our customer service. Please use the contact form on our website.

• Which payment methods do you accept?

  When booking online you can pay by credit card, PayPal or instant bank transfer. On site, cash and debit card are also possible.

• Can I cancel or change my booking?

  Yes – the exact cancellation and rebooking conditions are in your booking confirmation. Please get in touch early and we will find a solution together. Just write to kontakt@naturcamping-dresden.de or call +49 (0) 35240 16 99 58.

• Do you offer vouchers?

  Yes, you can buy gift vouchers directly online and receive them immediately as a PDF – an ideal gift idea. Go to the voucher shop.

🏠 Accommodation & pitches

• What types of accommodation do you offer?

  There is something for every taste: bungalows (standard and deluxe), a lodge, cosy glamping tents and classic camping pitches for motorhomes, caravans and tents. See the accommodation overview.

• How big are the houses?

  Our holiday homes have a total area of approximately 33m².

• What equipment do the houses have?

  Our holiday homes are fully equipped to offer you a comfortable stay. Each house has:

  • A kitchenette with a kettle, a French press (coffee plunger), a toaster, as well as dishes and cutlery.
  • A bathroom.
  • Sleeping facilities for up to four people, either in the form of four single beds or two single beds and a double bed.

  We also provide you with the following amenities:

  • Bed linen
  • Toilet paper
  • Towels
  • Dish towels
  • Detergent
  • Salt and pepper

  Subject to availability, you can also borrow a hairdryer or a clothes horse at reception.

  So you can feel just like at home and enjoy your stay.

• Are bed linen and towels included in the holiday homes?

  Yes, bed linen, towels and tea towels are included in our bungalows and lodges. You will also find washing-up liquid, toilet paper and a starter set of salt, pepper and oil on site.

• Is the final cleaning included in the price?

  For stays of 3 nights or more, the final cleaning of holiday homes, lodge and glamping tent is included in the price. For 1–2 nights a final cleaning fee applies: €35 in high season, €25 in low season. You only need to take care of the dishes and take your personal belongings with you.

• Can I also camp with you in winter?

  Yes, selected winter pitches and our heated bungalows can be used all year round. The winter pitch runs from October to March at a fixed price – all details on the winter pitch page.

🍽️ Food & service

• Do you offer a bread roll service?

  Yes! In high season (spring to autumn) you can simply order fresh bread rolls online by 8 pm the day before – we bring them straight to your pitch or bungalow in the morning. Outside high season the service pauses. More information and order form under bread roll service.

• Is there a restaurant?

  Right on site you will find our Brettmühlenschänke with regional cuisine, beer garden and a lovely view of the lake. In summer we do not take reservations, just come by. Menu and opening hours at brettmuehlenschaenke.de.

• Is there Wi-Fi on site?

  Yes, Wi-Fi is available in the bungalows and near reception. You will receive the access details at check-in or find them in the house.

• Am I allowed to barbecue at the campsite?

  Yes, barbecuing with electric or gas grills is allowed at our campsite. However, barbecuing with open fire / charcoal is prohibited. You are welcome to bring your own electric or gas grill or rent a gas grill from us.

• Can I borrow a hairdryer or a clothes horse?

  Yes, subject to availability you can borrow a hairdryer or a clothes horse at reception. Just ask on site.

👨‍👩‍👧 Family, dogs & leisure

• Is the site family-friendly? Is there a playground?

  Absolutely – we have a lovingly designed playground, plenty of space to run around in nature, a sandy beach on the lake and child-safe paths. Families are the rule here, not the exception.

• Are dogs welcome?

  Of course! Dogs are welcome throughout the site (leads required). Among the holiday homes, houses 1 to 11 are intended for guests with dogs – if these are fully booked, ask us by e-mail or phone and we will check whether another house is free. Dogs are also allowed in the glamping tent. Cost: €2.50 per night on camping and tent pitches, €10 per night in a holiday home. There is even a separate dog beach on the lake.

• Can I swim in the Brettmühlenteich?

  Yes, swimming in the lake is permitted at your own risk. There is a lovely sandy beach with a sunbathing lawn, shade under the trees and calm, clear water – ideal for families.

✨ Extras & groups

• Do you offer school trips or group stays?

  Yes, we are a popular destination for school classes and youth groups with our own activity programme. We also have suitable offers for company and conference guests – see companies and conferences.

• Do you offer extras such as bike hire, boats or rental cars?

  Yes, many extras can be booked directly online with live availability – for example bike hire, pedal boat, stand-up paddleboard, canoe or rental car.
